The caching tool is PrimoCache (Note: Not recommended on extremely slow mechanical devices from my experience, unless you use a very small cache which you validate can be completely written on a flush in less than 15 seconds). Tweaking of the caching might generate even higher performance but its currently not effective usage of my time to do so.

Reply: I'm getting performance in excess of : 860 Pro = 11K Sequential Read, 9K Sequential Write, 170K IOPS Read, 125 IOPS Write 960 Pro = 7K Sequential Read, 9K Sequential Write, 325K IOPS Read, 300K IOPS Write Windows boots in about 10 seconds, so in these respects performance is currently acceptable for my configuration and needs. Jphughan: And quite apart from this Reflect issue, it’s too bad you can’t run your OS off the 2TB 960 Pro and use the 4TB 860 Pro for backups and possibly less performance-sensitive data, since that would dramatically improve the performance of that system.

But since it’s here, I wonder if the fact that you’re restoring from a much faster NVMe-based SSD to a comparatively much slower SATA-based SSD might have something to do with whatever the underlying cause is. Jphughan: Lars’ issue seems to be completely separate from dbminter’s, since Lars’ case appears to pertain to Reflect itself hanging rather than causing other applications to become unresponsive, and it also occurs in the Rescue Media environment rather than real Windows, so it might have been better to post as a separate topic.
